25-micron accuracy on the surfaces cameras can’t touch: chrome, glass, gloss black, and machined metal.

Photogrammetry sees what cameras see, which means reflective, transparent, dark, and featureless surfaces defeat it. Our handheld blue-light laser scanner solves those subjects by projecting its own structured light pattern, reading exact geometry regardless of surface finish or ambient lighting, down to 25 microns (0.025 mm). It is the precision instrument in the truck, and the foundation of our reverse engineering, inspection, and hero prop work.

Where It Has Proven Itself

On a government program we digitized military equipment, weapons, and munitions at 25-micron accuracy for a VR training simulator. For Kawasaki we captured the exact geometry of UTVs and motorcycles, chrome and gloss paint included. For Hulu’s Control Freak we laser-scanned a practical creature build alongside photogrammetry to lock its dimensions. When the measurement has to be right, this is the tool that comes out.

Laser scanning captures shape, not color. On most projects we run a dual-capture workflow: blue-light laser scanning for exact geometry, cross-polarized photogrammetry for color and material, merged into a single asset that is both dimensionally true and visually complete. That combination is what lets one scan serve VFX, real-time, digital twin, and engineering pipelines at once.

From Scan to CAD

For engineering clients, laser data becomes working geometry: cleaned technical meshes, dimensional reference models, hard-surface reverse engineering, and scan-to-CAD surfaces ready for manufacturing, inspection, or documentation. Deliverables ship in STL, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, and native formats for SolidWorks, Rhino, and Fusion 360. When no drawings exist, the part itself becomes the blueprint.
